Eugene Boadu

Eugene Boadu is an activist, avid collector of the classics of pan-African philosophy, youth educator, social organizer, keen marketer, and a passionate champion of the African promise.
Eugene currently works at mPedigree, a social enterprise devoted to harnessing innovative technologies for human security and industrial growth, with an emphasis on anti-counterfeiting, supply chain visibility, and brand management. He is responsible for designing policies for the organisation’s multi-award winning Goldkeys platform in respect of direct marketing, business development, strategic research, public relations and corporate affairs, and has been instrumental in driving several projects and lifting ideas from the strategy board to the ground where impact on the lives of millions of consumers is made and felt.
Trained in Economics and Political Science at the University of Ghana in Legon, Boadu has written, spoken and led seminars prolifically on how African societies can leverage technology to improve current social conditions and quality of life. He has devoted substantial time and energy to thinking, mobilizing, and organizing for a better future for the continent of his birth on university campuses, in the national media, and at international forums.
He has spoken at several entrepreneurial summits, conferences and workshops around the world. He spoke at The Road To The 2016 Global Entrepreneurship under the auspices of President Barack Obama and The 2016 Ashoka Changemaker Summit. He was a representative of African technology start-ups at the 2017 Facebook F8 Conference. Also in 2017, Boadu led a delegation to engage the Ivorian government on the adoption of technology to mitigate Africa’s growing counterfeit problem in Abidjan and spoke at the Pan African Chamber of Commerce’s forum on medicinal counterfeiting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In Addis Ababa, he was also invited by the Africa Union’s Trade Commission to advise the Commission on policy options to boost the continent’s regulatory instruments for the safety of all Africans.
Before joining mPedigree, he worked at the University of Ghana, where he had direct responsibility for managing and transforming the impact of the leading alumni networks. He has also worked in the financial services industry, specializing in credit quality analysis, insurance brokerage modelling, and Customer Risk Management.
